Enzymatic assay kit for the determination of oxalate / oxalic acid in urine, vegetables, food/feed samples and in other materials. 

Principle:

Oxalate is oxidized to hydrogen peroxide and carbon dioxide by oxalate oxidase.

The hydrogen peroxide reacts with MBTH and DMAB, in the presence of peroxidase, to form a coloured compound which presents a maximum absorption at 590 nm.
The intensity of coloration is proportional to the oxalate concentration of the sample.


Limit of blank (LoB) was calculated as (meanBlk + SDBlk*1,645) = 0,051 absorbance
Limit of blank (LoD) was calculated as (LOB + SDsample*1,645) = 0,059 absorbance
